Last Sunday, The Caretaker and The Caretaker's Wife took over our yard once again to greet our neighborhood Trick or Treaters. Our little visitors earned their treats by running the gauntlet in our graveyard, including braving the supreme creepiness of The Caretaker and his ghoulish assistant.
Danielle, as usual, knew exactly what she wanted to dress up as for Halloween. This year, it was Child of Frankenstein. I can't believe how green we got her face! We searched high and low and finally found bolts for her neck, and she drew on her own scars. My favorite part of her costume was her gravity-defying hairdo--a fine engineering feat created by her mama.
Nicholas joined the cast of characters in the Halloween graveyard this year, preferring to collect screams rather than candy as the spooky doorman. (Don't worry; he did a quick run of our street to grab a little candy to sustain his sugar high while good-naturedly scaring the local kids.)
For Bree, Halloween is not so much about goblins and ghouls. It's more like an opportunity to dress up in something fun and cute. Her choice this year? Little Miss Flapper Girl. Adorable, right?
