Wedding Bells For Anthony and Tiffany

My sweet nephew Anthony married his sweetheart today--his high school girlfriend--just a couple of months after they both celebrated their graduations.  This is a very big year for them, and I wish them both well as they step into the next stage of their lives.  They'll be getting jobs, setting up a new home together, and starting college.  I hope they are each others' best friends and biggest cheerleaders in the years ahead!  I so wish I had been able to make the trip to Idaho to celebrate with them.

This is another one of my wonderful nephews.  Anthony is also graduating from high school this year.  How is that possible?  This is Anthony and his date on the way to the Homecoming Dance.  I think they make an adorable couple!

Time Flies

It's been many years since my brother Gary and his family moved to Idaho.  I don't think Anthony was even in school yet--he was a sweet faced, chubby cheeked little guy.  Although I've seen him a handful of times over the years since, it's still strange to think of him as a nearly grown young man.  This is a picture of him, on the verge of beginning his senior year of high school.  How time flies.

This is my nephew.  Anthony is a strong, handsome young man.  Generally speaking, his fashion sense is pretty strong.  When trying on a new persona, however, I think it's safe to say that his choice in women's clothes could use a little work!

How is it possible that my sweet, adorable little baby nephew, son of my older brother, is a strong, smart seventeen year old? When he posted this picture on Facebook, I couldn't believe how much he looked like his Daddy--definitely something in the mouth and jawline. I'm so sad that I live so far away from him and have missed out on some of his milestones growing up. No matter the miles, though, Anthony's always on my mind and I wish him nothing but happiness and success. Your dad would have been proud of you, honey. I wish he'd been able to see his little boy grow up into the young man you are today.
