Rah Rah!

Today we had our annual Rah Rah General Session to kick off the school year.  We gather every employee in the district to celebrate all of our accomplishments and generally get inspired to go out and help make a difference in the lives of the the kids who will walk in our doors this coming Monday morning.  I actually really like General Session.  In the past, Mom and I used to go together every year.  For the past several years, I've gone with my good friends Victory and Allison.  I seriously love these fantastic women, and I seriously love my school and my district!

I was so excited to meet Rylan the other day.  Her mama, Victory, is one of my very good friends, and Rylan is her second beautiful baby girl.  Here she is at only six days old.  Oh, how I love holding tiny little babies!

Girlfriends' Get Together

One of the things I love so much about vacation is that I get a chance to see my work girlfriends without all the papers to grade and the bells dictating our time. We all got together at Alex's house, had a little gift exchange, ate food, and just had time to relax together. And of course, those with little ones shared their babies with us for the afternoon, too. Gotta love baby time! These girls are a great group of people, and I feel so lucky to get to work with them every day.
