May 4, 2010Want to know how to know when even AP students have wearied of studying and school? It's when you get an essay with an introduction that goes something like this:
"After carefully reading the prompt and 'carefully' reading the passage, I can only conclude that the author's purpose was bore and annoy me.... I honestly started to zone out after the first paragraph."
(Note, by the way, the appropriate use of sarcasm quotes. Students use them incorrectly all the time, so this is quite refreshing to see.)
