I'm not sure whose idea it was to have a family softball game in Fresno in July (okay, okay, I do know whose idea it was--Lisa and I are just not claiming responsibility), but softball in 100-plus degrees is not as pleasant as you might think. Don't get me wrong--we had a great time because we know how to have fun, but I think next summer we're gonna find us a field with lights and play at, oh, say, ten o'clock at night. It'll probably cool down by then, at least to the mid-eighties. Lisa's team was Team Undeclared (a little indecisive, if you ask me), and my team was Team Stealth Ninja Monkeys. It was so hot we forgot to keep score, so we're just callin' this one a draw. By the way, don't you just love the grandmas in their referee jerseys?
