I would definitely want to include gardenias, because gardenias mean joy. I've never had so much joy in my life--joy in spending each day with him, joy in feeling our family is complete. He makes me smile every single day.

A Bouquet of Anniversary Flowers
April 14, 2011 It's our anniversary today. We've been married for four years, though we've known each other for virtually a lifetime. I am so thankful for the life we have found together after all of these years. I am not perfect, and neither is he, but we love each other in spite of (and sometimes even because of) all those little quirks and foibles that make us who we are. I love that he's the one I get to come home to every night. I love that he is my home, and I am his home. We decided to honor traditional gift-giving for our anniversaries, and year four is either flowers or fruits. Although I plan to give real flowers today, I also thought it would be fun to build a little bouquet here. I did a little research to find out the meanings of specific flowers so I could build a bouquet that says what I really want it to say. First of all, there would be red roses in my bouquet, of course. Red symbolizes sharing and passionate love.I'd also include sunflowers, because the color yellow represents being hopelessly in love, and sunflowers themselves represent adoration. The pansy represents loving thoughts. It's the 'smoosh' I have for him every single day: ) Holly buds represent domestic happiness. Home with him is one of my favorite places to be.
