Signs of the Times

We all make mistakes now and then; nobody's perfect. But when a business puts its mistakes in bold print on a window or on a flyer, doesn't it make you think twice about the quality of the product or service that business provides? I mean, everyone has different skill sets, but I think if I were a business owner, and I knew that I struggled with grammar or spelling, I might make an effort to let a few other people get involved in the advertising process. I would also think, by the way, that the printers or window designers might have caught these errors.

The first one is the window of a local dry cleaning place, and the second is the back of an advertisement for a nail salon.

  1. That is one of my biggest pet peeves EVER. I think that if people REALLY and truly care about what it is that they're advertising/selling/doing, they would do everything in their power to make it as professional as possible. Misspelling things in a place that everyone will see it like that is definitely NOT professional, or should I say, perfessional. :)

  2. Woah, that second one gave me a headache.

I know my grammar stinks but if I was going to make a sign, I would make sure everything was perfect before it went up.

  6. This makes me want to vandalize their business. I want to take a big old marker and correct the mistakes so everyone that is not actually paying attention can get a chuckle.

BTW - I love your list of movies!!!

  9. I'm afraid that where I live the errors are more of the rule than the exception :)
